God’s Way is My Way

Salt River Country - Arizona

“From the beginning I had a sense of destiny, as though my life was assigned to me by fate and had to be fulfilled. This gave me an inner security. . . . Nobody could rob me of the conviction that it was enjoined upon me to do what God wanted and not what I wanted. That gave me the strength to go my own way” (Memories, Dreams, Reflections by C.G. Jung, p.48).

Thy Will

“To go my own way.” That is my destiny; that is your destiny. As long as my way is God’s way. So easy to say . . . so hard to discern. God is like a river flowing through my life, leading me downstream. Going upstream is resistance to life. Flowing downstream is effortless, letting go of my will to live Thy will.

His Tear, a River

Flowing around obstacles, flowing through the brambles. Liquid gold, liquid God. The way of the stream winding its way through the earth. A fluid path. So different from the desert. Scorching sun drying up life. Christ was tested there. But a tear fell from His eye, creating a river in the desert. The holy river on which to lead a spiritual life. A direction home.
