About Terry
I graduated in 1976 from the University of South Dakota with a Doctor of Education degree with a specialty in counseling.
In addition, I studied theology at the Episcopal seminary in Sewanee, Tennessee, during the summers of 1991 and 1992. I was a Jungian psychotherapist in private practice for 40 years. I’m retired from the practice of psychotherapy and am currently a business consultant.
I am the author of the following books: HowTo Defend Yourself Without Even Trying (topic Aikido), Meeting Force With Silence (topic Aikido), and Death: The Beginning of Life (topic Jungian Psychotherapy).
About Deb
I have my Montessori certification for teaching children ages 2½-5 through the St. Nicholas Training Centre in London, now called Montessori Centre International. In addition to traditional Montessori certification, I’m certified to teach two Montessori-based religious-education programs: Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and Godly Play.
My bachelor’s degree from Antioch University is in Liberal Studies with my concentration in Montessori Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I received my MA in Early Childhood Studies from Sheffield Hallam University in Sheffield, England, with my degree work and dissertation largely focused on Montessori education. I am also the author of a 1983 children’s book, The Magic Ring. In 2013, I published my eBook Montessori at Home or School: How to Teach Grace and Courtesy (for teaching ages 2-12).
I have two blogs. At Living Montessori Now, I write about Montessori education, homeschooling, and parenting. At Bits of Positivity, I have word-art freebies, inspirational quotes, encouragement for parents and athletes, posts on character and gratitude, motivation for life, and ways to make a difference.
