“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear . . . Be still, and know that I am God . . .” (Psalm 46:1-2, 10, KJV).
in the stillness
a whispered prayer
shakes heaven’s gate
–Terry Chitwood
Seeds
God resides in the stillness: His voice . . . a feather floating, His touch . . . a beam of sunlight, His presence . . . a reverberating silence. Enter the stillness through your heart’s doorway, planting seeds of love in the quiet, watering them with tears of joy, blessing the seeds with song.
Blossoms
God blooms in the stillness: unfolding petals of brilliant sunlight, healing warmth moving through the silence, carrying the scent of spring. Enter the stillness, wearing a cloak of flowers, blooming with God, bringing His beauty back into the world.
The Center
If you keep God at the center of your life, trouble will fly from you like debris from a whirlwind. Fear will flee like shadow before the sun. Centered in God, you will discover a steadfast faith. With an unwavering heart, you listen to God in the stillness, directing your life . . . giving you words to write.
Holy Words
From the center . . . from the stillness, comes a roaring whisper, a rushing river of words expressing God’s message to Christian writers throughout the world: “Mirror My ways with your words. Let there be light.”

Hey Dr. Terry,
I liked your post about “A Whispered Prayer”…
Whisper a prayer in the morning,
Whisper a prayer at noon.
Whisper a prayer in the evening,
He will keep your heart in tune.
God answers prayer in the morning,
God answers prayer at noon.
God answers prayer in the evening.
He will keep your heart in tune..
