“It arrives with an independent life of its own, overflowing with energy and newness. . . . Apparently generated by a superior intelligence, it is indescribable and can only be represented by metaphors, such as lightning, the breath of life, a divine voice” (inevitable grace—breakthroughs in the lives of great men and women: guides to your self-realization by Piero Ferrucci, p.60).
The breath of life. With inspiration, breathe in the divine sparks. With expiration, breathe out the divine luminescence filling your words with light.
Dreams
“Creative work is a full-time job. It happens during the day when we are awake, but it goes on at night as well in the world of dreams” (ibid. p.62).
Dreams can paint a picture of different aspects of your personality. What if you invited the men and women in your dreams to join you in an inner writer’s group? Give each member the opportunity for spontaneous, creative expression. Dream animals could join your group as well. Let each animal have a voice.
Heaven to Earth
“About the truest and highest inspiration, [Goethe] said, one can do nothing. One is chosen by a ‘divine influence’ to which one yields as an instrument, even though one may deceivingly believe one is in control” (ibid. p.64).
St. Francis of Assisi prayed, Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. And God did. Pray that you be a recipient of God’s grace . . . bringing heaven to earth.
Note: We’re taking the next two weeks off from publishing blog posts at Spring Snow Publications to spend extra time with our family over the 4th of July and to do what we can to help the fire victims in Colorado. We’ll still add to the blogging and writing inspiration at the Spring Snow Publications Facebook page during that time. Have a happy 4th of July, and we’ll see you here on July12!
