The Christian Writer: Enter Faith“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20, KJV).

Everyone’s a writer. And writing doesn’t pay as well as it once did (which was not very well). So if you write for the money, you’re guaranteed to be disappointed. Then if you don’t want to be disappointed, don’t write for the money. Pretty simple, right? O.K., not so simple.

Problems

As with life itself, the problems of being a writer are complex, filled with frustration, not easily solved, and ideal for pulling out your hair while contemplating them. So if you want thick hair, don’t think about the problems of writing. Bypass them. Listen to your heart.

Heart

Bypass thinking by going directly to the feeling level, a level where you can find meaning and support, happiness and love, and the warmth of fulfillment. Add the intuitive realm to the feeling level and you receive the guidance of the Spirit, whispering in your ear the next step your writing will take . . . the next step your life will take. Remember; let your writing and your life take the steps . . .  Spirit-directed—not determined by your ego.

Faith

Enter faith. Make faith your friend, giving faith your complete trust, your whole heart, your undivided attention. Having faith that in each moment, the direction your writing and your life will take will be revealed to you by the Spirit. Strong faith eliminates anxiety, letting your life unfold naturally, giving you hope for the future, and opening the door for miracles, wonders and signs.
